Booked and paid for a beachfront room. At check in we were given a partially obstructed ocean view instead. Went back to the desk and was told to check again in the morning.
Next day I found out the actual room type I booked was available, but the front desk said because of the length of my stay (through next Friday) they couldn’t move us. Then they tried to say it’s about the building location, not the actual view difference.
The frustrating part is I could have booked a better oceanfront room for less than what I’m paying now.
Is this something worth escalating to Bonvoy, or am I basically stuck?
