Flying standby today and got cleared into a seat literally as boarding wrapped up. A minute later the original seat holder shows up and starts getting heated.
Gate agent didn’t budge. Just calmly said boarding ended 9 minutes ago and they’d have to rebook him.
Honestly, huge respect. Feels rare these days to see boarding times actually enforced instead of bending for whoever argues the loudest.
