Been with Amex since 2021, have 3 cards (Platinum included). Out of nowhere they froze everything overnight, can’t use any cards, all removed from Apple Pay.
They’re asking me to send in IRS Form 4506-C or they’ll close my accounts in two weeks. I’ve never missed a payment and only have about $5k on them right now, way below my usual spend.
Agent couldn’t explain why. Feels random, and now I’m wondering if my 300k points are even safe. Anyone else go through this IRS review thing before?
