Took an American Airlines flight recently after mostly flying Delta for years, and noticed something interesting during boarding.
Their scanners apparently alert the gate agent if someone tries to board before their group is called. The agent just tells them to wait until their group is announced.
It only happened a couple of times and after that everyone just waited instead of crowding the boarding lane. Boarding actually felt way more organized than usual.
Made me wonder why Delta doesn’t have something like that, because it made the whole process feel a lot more civilized.
