Trying to understand how the Air France Business / Premium cabin baggage rules actually work when departing from the U.S.
AF’s website says the allowance for Premium, Business, and La Première is 1 small bag (personal item) + 2 hand bags (carry-ons). But I’ve also seen claims that TSA rules limit passengers leaving the U.S. to one carry-on and one personal item.
So I’m confused about the reality.
Two questions:
If I’m flying Air France Business from Washington Dulles, can I actually bring 1 small bag + 2 carry-ons, or will the U.S. departure rules limit me to just 1 carry-on + 1 personal item?
AF’s carry-on size limit is 55 × 35 × 25 cm, but my international carry-on is 53.5 × 38 × 23 cm (slightly wider). Would this likely pass at Dulles, especially with SkyPriority, or is it likely to get checked?
Just trying to figure out how strict this is for Business class passengers departing the U.S..
