My girlfriend surprised me with tickets to Japan and now I’m stressing about the connection. We’re flying United Express from Milwaukee to Chicago, landing at 12:00 PM, then connecting to United’s nonstop ORD to HND at 12:40 PM. That leaves just 40 minutes. We’re in Economy Plus near the front of the first plane, and we’re not checking bags, so at least we won’t have to wait at baggage claim.
Has anyone here actually made a domestic to international connection that tight at O’Hare?
I know ORD can be a mess with delays and gate changes, so I’m worried this could be too risky. United wanted over 5k each for an earlier flight out of Milwaukee, so I’m hoping this will work out, but I’d love to hear other people’s experiences or tips for making it.
